About Stoats Farm
Run with a personal touch
The Stoats Farm name dates back to 1583 and the current farmhouse was built in 1600. The name derives from the breeding of stoats for local farmers. They were used to protect their hay and corn ricks by catching the rats which threatened them. Run under the personal supervision of its owner, David Leonard, it's a small and very friendly campsite with a happy relaxed atmosphere.
The farm shop opens every day and stocks our own seasonal garden produce, fresh dairy produce and bread, hot and cold drinks, ices, novelties, postcards and souvenirs. We have all the expected facilities including showers and toilets, shaverpoints, a laundry, Elsan disposal, utility and barbecue areas. Caravans and camper vans can hook up to mains electricity for a small charge.
